Komo Ventures is positioned as a generic biometrics technology organisation.
We do not focus on any one biometrics solution; rather, from our armoury of biometrics based solutions we offer the best available biometrics solution to fit the customer’s requirements (iris, face, voice, finger, palm etc...)
Our core focus is to provide a 'Biometrification' processes for the security demands of government and private enterprise. Komo Ventures is focused on opportunity based projects for multi-modal biometric applications with Iris, Face, Voice, Signature, Fingerprint or any other biometrics solutions.
A related entity to Komo Ventures introduced the L1, Inc. (a USA NASDAQ listed company which had over US$1.0 billion market capitalisation) biometric software product into Australia. The FaceFINDER product has become the software algorithm and platform that the Victorian Police iFace product was based on. The FaceFINDER was a revolutionary product that was introduced into Australia with great success. The product represented the latest standard for automatic person identification in video screening and surveillance applications. FaceFINDER analyses the input from multiple video cameras and reports the appearance of a known individual in the controlled area. The discreet surveillance nature of this product is specifically suited for criminal investigation, for the control and enforcement of house bans in areas such as airports, stations, casinos and sports areas.
The biometrics verification process that was introduced via the FaceFinder products also paved the way for a micro payment process (eCommerce for the transport industry utilising Iris Identification) for each transaction verified, similar in nature to the ATM service charge.
The Automated Face Biometrics based products meet the challenges for large image database research. As a highly experienced leader in the development and delivery of face recognition systems, Komo Ventures continues to push the technical envelope to manage large image databases. Face recognition provides the ability to reduce fraud and crime by identifying duplicate images in large databases, such as licensed drivers, benefit recipients, missing children, and immigration. Additionally, law enforcement agencies can now match images against image databases to identify suspects and known criminals. Enterprise customers are now equipped with the capability to identify persons and reduce unauthorised attendance fraud by effectively retrieving, managing, and analysing their image databases.
Komo Ventures already has developed its own core Intellectual Property (IP) and will continue to further enhance its product range or will develop new product lines. The developed products incorporate software with core algorithms at the database level that securely maintains customer personnel records. Komo Ventures expects that this service will ensure retention of the customer base. The ability to provide credentials to law enforcement while maintaining their records will help Komo Ventures to expand its market share.
