We are seeking a Senior Ab-initio Metadata Hub Developer to support enterprise data lineage and metadata initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Ab-initio Metadata Hub (mHub) , data lineage development , and a strong programming background in Python or Java . The role focuses on building, optimizing, and maintaining complex enterprise data lineage processes and integrating modern tools and SDKs.
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level data lineage applications using Ab-initio Metadata Hub (mHub) .
Optimize tool-based solutions to simplify complex metadata across data platforms.
Develop integrations with third-party libraries, APIs, and tools to extend lineage capabilities.
Implement algorithms and SDKs for metadata extraction, processing, and visualization.
Debug, refactor, and enhance lineage development graphs and associated metadata structures.
Collaborate with business and data engineering teams to ensure traceability across data flows.
Conduct code reviews and maintain technical documentation.
Participate in architectural decisions, feature design, and implementation planning.
Develop automated tests and verification strategies.
Benchmark and profile system performance and optimize accordingly.
Provide technical guidance and support to other teams working with data lineage tools.
5+ years of Ab-initio Metadata Hub (mHub) application development experience.
Strong experience in Data Lineage development , Data Analytics , and enterprise metadata management.
Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python , Java , or API development.
Experience in SDK-based full-cycle software development .
Proficiency in debugging, profiling, and optimizing code performance.
Strong understanding of metadata configuration, data modeling, and lineage graph creation.
Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment.
6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience .
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Engineering , or a related field.
Experience using data lineage tools in large-scale enterprise environments.
Familiarity with data management practices including governance, metadata curation, and quality assurance.
Experience with static/dynamic code analysis tools.
Prior experience contributing to open-source projects or compiler technologies (nice to have).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and performance tuning.
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality code standards.
