National Commercial Title Insurance Underwriter

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Our client, a leading title insurance company specializing in commercial real estate transactions , is seeking a Commercial Underwriter to provide expert underwriting support and risk analysis. This role is ideal for professionals who excel in legal analysis, problem-solving, and collaboration, offering an opportunity to contribute to high-value commercial real estate transactions.

Candidate Profile:

  • 5–7 years of title underwriting experience , with commercial underwriting experience preferred .

  • Strong knowledge of real estate law , including federal and state regulations.

  • In-depth understanding of real estate title processes and settlement procedures .

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex transactions.

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to present alternative solutions effectively.

  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to offer innovative solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide underwriting counsel and support to company personnel and clients on real estate title insurance commitments and policies .

  • Utilize underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority to assess risk and issue title insurance .

  • Advise company personnel on best practices for real estate settlement services.

  • Ensure compliance with underwriting standards, guidelines, and established company procedures.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients to resolve underwriting challenges and enhance service delivery.
