Project Manager – EPC Mega Projects (Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Industrial Gases)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects within the oil and gas, petrochemicals, and industrial gases sectors. This is a full-time, onsite role.
Location Details:
During the engineering phase, you will be based in our Houston, TX office, with weekly visits to contractor offices in Houston.
After engineering, you will relocate to the project site in Gonzales, LA.
Develop, update, and manage project schedules using Primavera P6.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create detailed work plans for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Track project progress, identify schedule variances, and assess risks.
Analyze the impact of changes in scope or resources and recommend mitigation strategies.
Prepare and present schedule reports to stakeholders.
Optimize project timelines using resource leveling, critical path analysis, and schedule compression techniques.
Resolve scheduling issues and participate in project meetings to provide updates and recommendations.
Minimum 15 years’ experience as a planning/scheduling engineer or project controls specialist on EPC mega projects.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
Strong background in project management, including schedule development, resource management, earned value management, and risk analysis.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA and other standards.
Primarily sedentary work with occasional movement within the office.
Frequent use of computer, mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
