Position Title:  IT Support Administrator
Reports to:  IT Director 

Job Summary:  
The Other Ones Foundation (TOOF) is a nonprofit organization offering humanitarian aid, case management, and low-barrier work opportunities for individuals experiencing homelessness.  

We are seeking a motivated and experienced IT Support Lead to support TOOF’s cloud-based infrastructure, collaborate with our Managed Service Provider (MSP), and oversee internal IT operations. This role will align with the organization's growth objectives and contribute to TOOF's technological advancement while working closely with the IT Director to meet strategic goals. 


Key Responsibilities:  


Cloud Infrastructure Management:  

Administer and optimize TOOF's cloud-based IT environment, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and other SaaS platforms. 

Oversee system configurations, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance with organizational needs. 

Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for enhancements. 

User Support and Training:  

Serve as the primary point of contact for end-user support, troubleshooting issues for 100+ users. 

Deliver training and create user-friendly documentation to enhance staff proficiency with IT tools. 

Proactively reduce recurring IT issues by identifying and addressing root causes. 

MSP Coordination:  

Act as the key liaison between TOOF and its MSP, ensuring services align with organizational goals. 

Coordinate with the MSP to implement security protocols, updates, and system improvements. 

Review and monitor MSP deliverables to ensure high-quality service. 

IT Strategy and Project Management:  

Support the IT Director in developing and executing IT strategies and roadmaps. 

Lead IT-related projects, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion. 

Provide input on IT budgeting and manage procurement for necessary hardware, software, and services. 

Policy and Security Compliance:  

Collaborate with the IT Director to draft and enforce IT policies, including data protection, access control, and system usage guidelines. 

Implement and manage robust security measures, including MFA and endpoint protection. 

Develop disaster recovery plans in partnership with the IT Director and MSP. 

General Duties:  

Work with department leaders to identify technology solutions that support their operational goals. 

Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and ensure proper licensing and usage compliance. 

Provide leadership and mentorship to IT team members as the organization scales. 

Qualifications:  


Required:  

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

Reliable personal vehicle, used for transportation between TOOF locations as needed while carrying out job responsibilities. 

3+ years of experience in IT Support & systems management, including cloud-based infrastructure and end user support. 

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, including SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. 

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 

Preferred:  

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, ITIL, CompTIA). 

Experience managing vendor relationships, particularly with MSPs. 

Familiarity with IT security frameworks and compliance standards. 

Schedule and Position Classifications:  


Position type:  Exempt/Salaried 

Location:  Austin, Texas Metro Area 

Schedule:  Hybrid/Remote, 9-5 Monday-Friday with occasional after-hours and weekend responsibilities, according to support needs.   

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:  

Ability to work in a fast-paced nonprofit environment with occasional after-hours responsibilities. 

Ability to occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds.
