Event Planning Manager, (Exempt), Reports to Strategic Marketing Director – World Service – Marketing & Delivery
The Event Planning Manager oversees and facilitates leadership of all aspects and details of event/meeting planning from site selection to vendor negotiation, event registration (live and digital), onsite staffing and post-event reporting while coordinating with Strategic Marketing Director.
Works on multiple large-scale and small-scale events simultaneously to ensure brand loyalty and quality consistency. Works directly with the Strategic Marketing Director, Creative Services Manager, finance department and other Discipleship Ministries staff on digital management of contracts, tradeshow displays, location signage and hospitality, and full range of event-related duties. Maintains relationship with order fulfillment centers to ensure timely and efficient fulfillment of event and website products.
Works with the Strategic Marketing Director to ensure all large and small events meet quality standards that raise the brand of Discipleship Ministries, are delivered on time and on budget. Identify the goals of the event to determine the requirements that must be met to accomplish those objectives.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalency
Three to five years’ experience of event planning or similar experience.
