Working Conditions

Maintains the Arduous Fitness Standard in accordance with Department policy. The incumbent is required to wear respiratory protection equipment, including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). As such, CALOSHA requires the incumbent to be annually medically cleared to be fit-tested for respiratory protection equipment.  May be subject to working nights, weekends, or holidays.

Special Requirements

  • The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
  • The position(s) require(s) a(n) Registered Professional Forester License License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.

Possession of a valid license as a Registered Professional Forester issued by the California State Board of Forestry and Fire Protection

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

Possession of a valid driver license of the appropriate class issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

This classification is eligible for the following pay:

$6233 - $8090 Base Salary (paid every month)

$74,796 – $97,080 Annual Compensation

In addition to the above pay items, employees are eligible for medical benefits (health, dental, vision) and may be eligible for other pay differentials.
