Overview :

Moda Cafe & Bakery is opening soon in Chantilly, VA, and we are excited to build our team. We are looking for dedicated and professional individuals to join us as a Server at Moda Cafe & Bakery. You will be responsible for delivering food and beverage service in line with Moda Cafe standards. Your role will include taking customer orders, ensuring they are correctly processed and served, and providing a welcoming environment for all guests.

Responsibilities of a Waiter/Waitress:

Reports to: Supervisor/Assistant Restaurant Manager/General Restaurant Manager

• Prepare for service by ensuring the cleanliness of the service area, checking stocks, and completing the necessary opening procedures.
• Greet and seat guests in the absence of the Host/Hostess, and assist with guest inquiries.
• Take customer orders accurately, enter them into the POS system, and coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and bakery to ensure timely preparation and service.
• Handle payment transactions and provide accurate receipts.
• Suggest menu items to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
• Attend daily briefings to stay informed and contribute to operational success.
• Ensure personal hygiene and professional appearance at all times.
• Handle guest complaints and suggestions professionally and relay them to management as needed.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the menu, including all food and beverages offered.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Operate technical equipment correctly, following usage guidelines and performing basic maintenance.
• Implement decisions and changes made by your manager promptly and effectively.
• Keep your supervisor informed about operations, issues, and other relevant matters.
• Follow and apply Moda Cafe procedures, service standards, and health and safety regulations.

Waiter/Waitress Job Requirements:

• Must have prior experience as a waiter/waitress.
• Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.
• Must be able to handle money transactions responsibly.
• Must be able to multitask and act quickly.
• Must be flexible and ready to work in shifts.
• Must carry at least a high school diploma.
