Job Description: What We're Looking For - Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, including maintaining financial records and program resources.
- Strong communication abilities with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- A service-oriented individual who exercises good judgment, tact, and confidentiality.
- Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement, aligning with PLNU's spiritual mission.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; graphic design and web skills (CANVA, Qualtrics) a plus.
What You'll Be Doing - Providing administrative support to Campus Ministries and the University Chaplain, including calendar management and handling confidential information.
- Coordinating event planning, outreach efforts, and advertising for campus and community ministry events.
- Collecting and organizing program data, financial records, and yearly reports using WorkDay.
- Creating and maintaining program resources, social media updates, and communication pieces in collaboration with Marketing.
- Assisting with summer preparations, student training, and supervision of student workers to support ministry goals.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Understanding of and commitment to the spiritual mission of Point Loma Nazarene University.
- Proficiency with all programs in Microsoft Office is required, web development, and graphic design skills are highly desirable (Qualtrics surveys, google docs/forms, CANVA, etc.), and ability to type 45 wpm.
- Must have a service orientation providing exceptional customer service, and the ability to communicate effectively and exercise good judgment and tact in dealing with students, faculty, staff, PLNU constituencies, and outside organizations.
- Accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong writing and editing skills are required. Ability to compose correspondence using correct English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, format, and accurate proofreading.
- Ability to organize and empower students in respective responsibilities.
- Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. In addition, staff agree to live in agreement with PLNU's Community Life Covenant .

Physical Requirements: - Work is primarily sedentary, and may require sitting, standing, bending, or stooping for extended periods of time.
- Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
- Vision to read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone.
- Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds throughout the day.
