Assistant Teacher for 2 year old classroom

River Road Early Learning Center is hiring assistant teachers for the preschool program. The candidate should have both early childhood teaching experience and an educational background. The candidate must exhibit patience and flexibility as they help young children learn to express themselves, and have excellent communication skills with children, fellow staff, and parents. The person needs to be dedicated, dependable and consistent.

• Be part of all aspects of the early childhood classroom activities. This includes diapering and potty training. 
• Work with a team of teachers to ensure classroom ratios are met when staff members need to be out of work.
• Typical hours would be 9:30a-5:30p, Monday-Friday, but could vary to accommodate planned absences.
• Dependable.
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers.
• Provide guidance and support to children.
• Build positive relationships with families.
• Create a positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience in an early childhood education setting.

Requirements:

• Experience in Early Childhood Setting.
• Experience with Potty Training.
• Excellent Communication Skills.
• Strong classroom management skills.
