Augmentjobs is seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Summer Consumer & Retail Investment Banking Analyst to join our team for a summer internship. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about investment banking and the consumer & retail sector looking to gain handson experience in financial analysis modeling and client interaction within a leading investment banking firm.

The Summer Analyst will work directly with senior bankers to support M&A advisory capital raising and strategic transactions for consumer and retail clients. Responsibilities will include preparing financial models conducting industry research drafting presentations and assisting in the due diligence process. The successful candidate will gain exposure to the fastpaced world of investment banking developing technical analytical and clientfacing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of pitch materials financial models and client presentations

• Conduct industry and market research to support dealrelated analysis

• Participate in the preparation of financial due diligence reports

• Analyze financial statements and assist in valuation analysis (DCF precedent transactions comparable company analysis)

• Assist in preparing client deliverables and participate in client meetings as required

• Support senior bankers with adhoc tasks as needed

• Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting or related field

• Strong academic performance with a keen interest in finance and investment banking

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Word

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Previous internship experience in investment banking finance or a related field is a plus

• Strong work ethic teamoriented and eager to learn

Financial Modeling Proficiency in building and interpreting financial models.
Industry Research Ability to analyze market trends and industry data.
Valuation Techniques Knowledge of valuation methods such as DCF and comparable company analysis.
Excel Proficiency Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and modeling.
PowerPoint Skills Ability to create impactful presentations for clients.
Communication Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and reports.
Analytical Thinking Ability to perform detailed financial analysis and problemsolving.
Time Management Capability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
