Your New Role

Overview of the internships

We have multiple Strategic Marketing internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for all internship opportunities within this area. These internships will be located in the NYC area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager ’ s in office schedule.

This could include, but is not limited to:

  • HBO Growth Marketing Intern

  • HBO/Max Promo Planning & Scheduling Intern

Your Role Accountabilities

• W ork closely with key operational partners to ensure all promotional content airs as scheduled

• Track campaign timelines and coordinate campaign needs with internal teams and vendors

• Assist in developing and implementing promotional plans in support of priority campaigns

• W ork closely with our internal Content Strategy and Scheduling partner teams and various external partner teams across the WBD Marketing area

• Conduct competitive marketing research by monitoring and tracking brand activity on distributor social/digital platforms and websites

• Monitor MVPD/VMVPD UI placement

• Assist in creating files and artwork in photoshop

• Manage a campaign from start to finish

• Submit creative briefs

• Shape website and social extensions while getting to know and understand all aspects of our print and digital business

The Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

• Superior organization and communication skills

• Ability to work on a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical skills; Understanding of how to conduct research & summarize findings

• Experience with various social platforms and analytical tools (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc)

• Knowledge of competitive landscape including SVOD and OTT services is a plus

Qualifications & Experience

Essentials needed for the positions that are similar across the above roles (these do not all have to apply to every single role)

  • Must be actively enrolled in a n accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required )

  • Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)

  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.

  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.

What to know before applying:

  • The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks .

  • Program date options:

  • Option 1: June 2 nd – A ugust 1 5 th

  • Option 2: June 9 th – August 2 2 nd

  • Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity .

  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required ; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.

  • Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

  • In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
