Title: Senior Agile Project Manager
Nature of the Job:

The Senior Agile Project Manager leads, coaches, and supports agile teams and vendor resources to successfully deliver projects and product implementations.  The Sr. PM manages large-scale, complex initiatives from initiation to closure. The Sr. PM communicates with stakeholders, works with external vendors, facilitates discussions, and coordinates activities throughout the implementation.  This includes daily hands-on management of activities utilizing Agile and Scrum based software development practices; with the additional responsibility of blending traditional project management practices. The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for contributing to the continuous improvement efforts of refining agile project management methodologies for the organization.


Essential Responsibilities:

 
  • Leads project implementation, integration, and scope management as the key contact for strategic initiatives.
  • Acts as liaison between vendors and internal teams; supports backlog grooming and product updates.
  • Partners across teams to ensure clarity and plans for evolving needs.
  • Facilitates agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
  • Removes impediments and guides the team to solutions.
  • Proactively manages risks, issues, and dependencies with mitigation strategies.
  • Manages project timelines and ensures delivery of high-quality outputs.
  • Creates run books, roadmaps, dashboards, and leads postmortem reviews.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams on release goals and project milestones.
  • Mentors less senior PMs and contributes to talent development and resource planning.
  • Oversees project budgets, forecasts, and conducts cost-benefit analyses.
  • Implements agile sustainment strategies and models integrity and respect consistent with PFCU and Disney values.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree (required); Post-Graduate Degree (preferred)

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 10+ years

Certifications:
  • Scrum Master Certification (Required)
  • Project Management Professional - PMP (Preferred)
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree (Preferred)
Technical Skills:
  • Expert in Agile, project management methodologies, Jira, Atlassian Suite, and MS Project
  • 7+ years in IT Agile/Project Management
  • 7+ years in credit union or financial services industry
  • Knowledge of ITIL, Six Sigma, Lean, PMI
  • Experience with SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS
Abilities and Behaviors:
  • Technical leadership and Agile coaching
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in managing multimillion-dollar programs
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and executive presentations
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and conflict resolution skills
  • Team-oriented with a passion for learning and customer service

Shift Work:
Shift work, including weekends, consists of hours outside of an 8 - 5 schedule to cover the hours of operation.

Physical Demands & Environmental / Working Conditions:
  • Frequent typing, object handling, verbal communication
  • Normal hearing and visual acuity for document work and screen use

The hiring range for this remote position is $94,320 to $159,840 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
