Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Solar Installation Technician to join our team in Syracuse, NY . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in solar PV installation and hold one of the following certifications:

NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification
IBEW-NECA Electrical Journeyman & Apprentice Training
UL PV System Installer Certification

As a Solar Installation Technician , you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting residential and commercial solar energy systems. You will work closely with a team of project managers to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant installations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install solar panels, inverters, and mounting systems according to design specifications and safety standards.
Perform electrical wiring and connections for PV systems, including conduit bending and terminations.
Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and national electrical codes.
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
Work at heights, on rooftops, and with various hand and power tools.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Maintain job site cleanliness, safety, and organization.
Provide excellent customer service and answer client questions regarding their solar system.

Qualifications & Requirements:

One of the following certifications is required:

NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification
IBEW-NECA Electrical Journeyman & Apprentice Training
UL PV System Installer Certification
Previous experience in solar installation or electrical work is preferred.
Strong knowledge of PV systems, NEC codes, and safety protocols.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders and roofs.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
