Join our team at OEHHA as a Senior Toxicologist leading a dedicated group of scientists in the Air and Climate Epidemiology Section. You will be applying your expert scientific knowledge and leadership skills to mentor staff and be responsible for the most sensitive documents prepared by the section. The section provides specialized technical support on the health effects associated with air pollution and climate impacts. It provides support to OEHHA programs and federal, state, and local agencies with a strong emphasis on environmental health, impacts to vulnerable communities, and environmental justice. These programs include CalEnviroScreen, CalHeatScore, and the Study of Neighborhood Air near Petroleum Sources (SNAPS). ACES also develops recommendations for statewide health-based standards and characterizes risk from air pollution in support of California Air Resources Board (CARB) activities, including supporting the criteria air pollutant, toxic air contaminant, and community air protection programs with toxicological and epidemiological expertise.
