Description

The Senior Associate at Teneo is a key member of our account teams, often taking a lead project management role. They are responsible for executing strategic programs and communications initiatives for Teneo’s clients. This includes online and offline communications strategies, long-term and rapid response planning, and crisis management. Senior Associates are motivated and dedicated professionals with experience in corporate strategy, financial communications, investor relations, government affairs, and public relations. They collaborate closely with Account Leaders to deliver high-quality service and function as a cohesive unit.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans and campaigns for clients.
  • Serve as a key member of the Core Account Team, working with Account Leaders on client initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day account tasks, including producing and refining deliverables such as strategic plans, press releases, talking points, Q&A, briefing memos, and media materials.
  • Plan and manage investor conferences, Analyst/Investor Days, and other industry events.
  • Support company-wide marketing materials and new business development initiatives.
  • Execute team objectives and plans as a reliable, adaptable resource for senior team members, capable of overseeing others.
  • Hybrid working arrangement from our New York City Office, with a minimum of three days in the office.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in traditional corporate and financial communications deliverables for a wide range of clients.
  • Excellent writing skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop media and business relationships, identifying priority targets for engagement.
  • Experience in preparing content for Account Managers and Leaders to pitch to print, broadcast, and online reporters.
  • Financial acumen and understanding of financial markets, SEC filings, and investing.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to approach communications from new angles, handling both day-to-day account work and one-off client requests.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Suggested work experience: 4+ years in corporate or financial communications

Base Salary Range $110,000 – $120,000 (compensation for this role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience that may fall outside of the range listed). 

Bonus Eligible Yes 

Total Compensation Package Includes annualized bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of additional benefits and rewards. 

 

Flexible Work Policy Teneo believes in in-person collaboration when possible and if you are assigned to the New York office, the company expectation is for employees to work from the office location a minimum of three times a week.
