We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to join a school district in Alabama, supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing students in an engaging online environment.

This position is offered as a 1099 contract, giving you the flexibility to work part-time or full-time while making a meaningful impact.

What You'll Do
As a Virtual Sign Language Interpreter, you'll play a vital role in ensuring deaf and hard-of-hearing students have equal access to education. Your key responsibilities include:

Providing high-quality, real-time sign language interpretation for students in a virtual classroom setting.
Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to meet each student's unique communication needs.
Adapting your interpretation style to align with each student's abilities and preferences.
Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all virtual interactions.
Using advanced telepractice tools to manage schedules, assignments, and communication effectively.

What We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should bring:

An EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
At least 2 years of experience as a sign language interpreter in educational settings.
A strong ability to adapt to virtual interpreting technologies and platforms.
