Job Summary (List Format):


- Provide respiratory care and diagnostic services as a Respiratory Therapist in the 736A Resp Care/Diag Svcs department.
- Work night shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for a 13-week assignment.
- Deliver patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards within the specialty.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills and judgment in the assessment and treatment of patients with respiratory disorders.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform respiratory therapy procedures, including but not limited to mechanical ventilation, airway management, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in medical records.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment.
- Provide patient and family education regarding respiratory care and therapies.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist within the specialty.
- Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and RRT (NBRC).
- Must hold licensure or certification as required by the State of Georgia:
- Credentialed as a registered or certified Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) through the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with credentials as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) from the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners (for CPAP Department).
