Job Description

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and general property maintenance, with a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This role involves performing routine and emergency maintenance, seasonal preparations, and small renovation tasks across multiple properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform carpentry repairs and installations, including framing, trim work, cabinetry, and decking
• Conduct general handyman tasks such as drywall repair, painting, tiling, and fixture replacements
• Troubleshoot and assist in minor repairs of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Work independently or with subcontractors to ensure properties remain in excellent condition
• Assist with seasonal property preparations (e.g., winterization and opening homes for the summer)
• Communicate with property managers and clients regarding job status and needs
• Maintain tools, materials, and workspaces in a clean, organized, and safe manner
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in carpentry and general property maintenance
• Strong knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is highly desirable
• Familiarity with the Hamptons and the unique requirements of high-end residential properties
• Experience with task related software and apps
• Ability to follow technical instructions
• Ability to lift 35lbs
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Plus if you have your own tools
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Must be willing to be on call to work weekends as needed on a rotating basis with the rest of the team (approximately every four to five weeks)
