Project Manager - Embedded Systems (Remote, Americas)
Are you passionate about leading complex projects in the tech world? We're seeking a talented Project Manager to oversee and deliver large-scale, customer-focused projects in embedded systems. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between engineering teams and customers, driving the success of innovative solutions across various devices, including robots, edge gateways, IoT systems, PCs, and automotive technologies.
This is a fully remote role based in the Americas region, offering the flexibility to make a global impact from wherever you are.
What You'll Do
As a key player in this role, you'll:
Manage end-to-end project lifecycles to meet shared goals for both the company and its clients.
Successfully deliver engineering services and custom solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams to enable custom boards and deliver Ubuntu-based images to clients.
Draft and maintain project-specific plans and schedules, ensuring client agreement.
Mitigate risks, resolve technical challenges, and drive projects to successful completion.
Serve as the main point of communication for clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders, including silicon vendors, OEMs, ODMs, and IHVs.
Ensure on-time, resource-efficient, and scope-compliant project deliveries.
Support non-traditional hours and multiple time zones to align with global project requirements.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellence.
What We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
Proven Project Management Expertise: A solid track record in delivering engineering services, managing software development teams, and coordinating field engineers.
Global Collaboration Skills: Experience working with cross-cultural and multi-continent teams, especially across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Technical Acumen: Knowledge of Linux, open-source software communities, and computer architecture.
Strong Leadership & Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills, paired with the ability to build effective relationships in complex environments.
Preferred Certifications: PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification is a plus.
Educational Background: A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math is highly desirable.
Flexibility: Willingness to work non-standard hours and travel up to four times annually for team events.
