Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Program Analyst for Sustainable Outreach and Navigation (CHW SON). The Enhancing Community Health Worker Program for Sustainable Outreach and Navigation (CHW SON) is a public health initiative aimed at reducing health disparities in under-resourced communities by improving access to essential services. The project deploys Community Health Navigators (CHNs) to conduct outreach, provide health education, and assist community members in navigating complex healthcare and social service systems. CHNs will play a vital role in connecting individuals to necessary resources, offering personalized support, and fostering a trust-based, culturally competent approach to improving public health outcomes in communities disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and other health challenges.
The Program/Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the data management and program evaluation design. This position will manage and analyze program data to track the impact of Community Health Navigators (CHNs) in delivering outreach, health education, and system navigation services. The Analyst will be responsible for data collection, maintaining databases (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, CRM platforms), monitoring key performance metrics, and generating reports to inform decision-making and program improvements.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project teams and community-based organizations to ensure accurate, real-time tracking of service delivery, identify trends, and support program evaluation efforts. Additionally, this role will contribute to the development of program strategies, ensuring data-driven approaches to reduce health disparities and improve access to healthcare and social services in under-resourced communities.
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 11/30/26 with potential renewal.
Pay Rate-$46.90/hour
Work Location: Position will be Telework, but may move to hybrid 2 days a week in Downtown Los Angeles based on needs.

Job Description: - Develops regular reports featuring data visualizations (e.g. dashboards) to enhance decision-making, communication, and analysis for both the department and CBOs.
- Extracts, organizes, and applies quality-control measures to ensure accuracy and completeness; research source documents and resolves missing or conflicting data in coordination with program partners.
- Collect, manage, and analyze program data related to outreach and system navigation efforts.
- Collaborate with CHNs and partner organizations to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor the effectiveness of service delivery and provide insights to inform program improvements.
- Support program evaluation efforts to demonstrate projects impact.
- Co-facilitate monthly check-in meetings with agency data leads to address challenges and provide guidance on data entry and dashboard usage.
- Assists with convenings, which include facilitating presentations and discussion as well as documenting key notes and action items.
- Report on progress and challenges to Director and makes recommendations.
- Provides other support to initiative as needed.
Job Skills/ Requirements: - A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in either Public Health Administration, Epidemiology, Public Health Statistics, Public Health Microbiology or Communicable Disease Control -AND three years of experience performing assignments in public health program analysis.
- A Master's degree from an accredited college in either Public Health Administration, Epidemiology, Public Health Statistics, Public Health Microbiology or Communicable Disease Control -AND- one (1) year
of experience working with data-driven community-based public health projects and forging community partnerships to further community health initiatives.
Desirable Qualifications: - A Masters degree from an accredited university.
- Professional understanding of general health disparities and unique impact of COVID-19 on communities of color, low-income communities, and other highly impacted communities throughout the County.
- Possess proficiency with computers and software programs.
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience using Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and/or community partners.
- Ability to maintain a professional, positive attitude and work ethic.
- Excellent critical thinking and judgment skills.
- Experience tracking and monitoring data.
- Experience in reporting and using data-driven mapping to identify hot spots.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Has the ability to problem solve under pressure.
