Job Title: Production Scheduler

Department:  Processing

Reports to:  State   Manufacturing Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt, Salary

Location:  Ironton, Ohio

 

ROLE SUMMARY
We are searching for a talented Production Scheduler to assist in organizing and setting weekly and monthly production schedules. This position will be key to realizing long term inventory goals and will regularly work with other departments to align and ensure the processing plan is realistic, optimal, and executed correctly.

 

To succeed in this role, you should be professional, analytical, and possess excellent communication skills. The successful candidate should also have an in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, and cannabis processing experience specifically is preferred.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set weekly production plans for processing division.
  • Sequence the production lines daily to optimize efficiency and minimize changeovers
  • Track and Monitor daily volumes planned and released to verify variances
  • Work together with Demand Planner and Material Planner to optimize availability
  • Drive the operational shift hours for production departments
  • Align multiple departments to keep plan on track and updated as needed.
  • Complete reports to communicate status of planning/schedule as necessary.
  • Contribute to long term supply chain improvements.
  • Interface with external departments to bring new products to market.
  • Identify areas of improvement and recommend action plans.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Past experience in Manufacturing Scheduling is a MUST
  • Past experience in cannabis industry is preferred
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Capability to lead indirectly different departments on the released plan
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid ability to manage database and analytics as central point to information

 

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV).
  • Must be able to pass a Level 2 background screening

 

Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
