Job Title: Product Manager – Steel, Concrete, or Construction Products

Location: Fully Remote or Newnan, GA

Position Overview

We are Recruiting on Purpose for a Product Manager to lead innovation and growth within our Steel Structure Services portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Product Management , this role is instrumental in overseeing the research, engineering, and technical development of both new and existing products. You will shape the strategic direction, ensuring that all resources, tools, and processes are aligned to support product success and expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Innovate: Generate and evaluate new product and service ideas aligned with strategic business goals.

  • Analyze: Conduct market and business viability assessments to support revenue and growth targets.

  • Strategize: Develop detailed business plans to support investment decisions and guide product development.

  • Present: Communicate business cases effectively to secure leadership buy-in and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate: Partner with cross-functional teams to drive product implementation and team readiness.

  • Define: Work closely with engineering teams to develop clear, actionable product specifications.

  • Refine: Continuously improve product specifications in collaboration with Business Development, Operations, and Contracts.

  • Support Proposals: Assist in preparing project proposals and pricing strategies.

  • Network: Cultivate strong internal and external partnerships to enhance product visibility and adoption.

  • Train: Lead training efforts to equip sales and delivery teams with product knowledge and tools.

  • Launch: Oversee product commercialization and coordinate successful go-to-market execution.

  • Engage: Act as a subject matter expert, representing the company in customer meetings and industry forums.

  • Enable Sales: Provide technical and strategic input to support sales efforts and winning proposals.

  • Represent: Participate in industry events and trade groups; deliver presentations to build credibility and insight.

  • Contribute Broadly: Support additional strategic initiatives and cross-functional efforts as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering with strong technical foundation.

  • MBA: Preferred but not mandatory.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in product management or sales, with a proven track record of launching products in the construction industry.

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience in electric and/or telecom utilities is highly desirable.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Business Development, Operations, and Contracts teams.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with modeling tools (e.g., FEA), data analysis platforms (SQL, BI tools, Excel), and productivity tools.

  • Character: Self-motivated, results-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally and accommodate flexible working hours.
