SAIC’s Business Development organization is seeking a Pricing Consultant  to support high-priority proposal activities spanning our diverse range of government and commercial customers. This role is specific to the Civilian Business Group. The Pricing Sr Principal Analyst will work independently supporting the largest and most complex proposals in the enterprise throughout the full proposal lifecycle: pre-RFP analysis and comment/question preparation, strategy development, RFP analysis, estimating and pricing model development, business case analysis, executive reviews, proposal finalization, and post-submit activities.

Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical, collaborative, critical thinking, and problem-solving experience as well as demonstrate the highest level of financial and business acumen. Candidates must also work well under pressure, given the complexity of engagements and proposal deadlines. This opportunity can be worked remote anywhere in the U.S. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens. 

Typical Responsibilities include:

  • Actively engage with Business Group Leadership to cultivate effective cost and price strategies
  • Independently assess DRFP/RFP documentation, identifying the appropriate cost/price strategies and associated tactical approaches
  • Collaborate with estimators to assemble labor and/or material costs, projecting the impact of pricing changes on revenue/profit, including multiple-outcome business case analysis
  • Support the development and integration of emerging business model strategies (which may include, but not limited to XaaS, Managed Services, Platform Integration, or OTAs)
  • Contribute as the financial leader on all captures supported with comprehensive understanding of all revenue, costs (fixed/variable & direct/indirect), profit, cash flow projections with clear ability to influence/recommend appropriate execution scenarios aligned with Business Group financial objectives.
  • Serve as a thought leader within the department, and may engage on special projects, training, and other related support functions
  • Coordinate with Pricing Management to prioritize concurrent proposal activities
  • Perform compliance, strategic and risk-based reviews of other proposals as needed
  • Mentor and train junior staff

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline, with eighteen (18) years or more of related experience in competitive federal government contract pricing; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience. Additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Proficient in MS Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skillset
  • Experience with multiple contract types (CPAF, CPFF, LOE, FPLOE, FFP, T&M, IDIQs, etc.) with varying degree of complexities
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively follow-through to meet deadlines

Strong team player possessing effective critical thinking skills and ability to assimilate with attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Program Control, Corporate Finance, FP&A and Accounting roles in addition to Pricing roles highly desired
  • Experience with PowerQuery, SQL or other data management experience a plus
  • Experience with Project Planning / Program Controls a plus
  • Proficient with COTS Pricing Tools like ProPricer a plus
