Now hiring a qualified Physician Assistant in the Los Angeles County area!

PA / Physician Assistant Pay:

• $115.00 - $120.00 per hour.
• Plus, travel bonus to assignment if eligible.
• Local and pay packages available.
• Weekly Direct Deposit every Friday.
• W2 position with benefits Available; Medical, Dental, Vision insurance, 401K.

Schedule and Timeline:

• Full 40 hour work week.
• Schedule: Mon-Fri.
• Specialty: Correctional + Primary Car.
• Patient demographic: Male and Female Adults.
• 13-week contract.

PA / Physician Assistant Job Details:

• Provide primary and urgent care services to individuals.
• Conduct physical examinations, evaluate medical histories, and develop treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care, incision and drainage).
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab work, X-rays).
• Administer medications and manage prescription renewals in compliance with facility protocols.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Triage and prioritize care based on medical urgency and security considerations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with nursing, mental health, and custody staff.
• Adhere to correctional health care standards, facility policies, and legal guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

PA / Physician Assistant Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current and unrestricted PA license in California.
• National certification (NCCPA) required.
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority as required by state law.
• Previous experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or correctional medicine preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure, fast-paced environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and cultural competency
• Active AHA BLS certification.
• Able and willing to float between Primary Care and Corrections.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
