Job Description
Summary: This individual will be responsible for transporting patients, escorting patients to and from appointments, and for general escort duties within the facility. This individual must have strong customer service skills and must be familiar with chemical dependency treatment, detoxification, and general knowledge about addiction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Monitor all visitors during regularly scheduled visiting hours to ensure protocol is followed, such as locking up visitor belongings in lockers and following all other visiting hours rules, as mentioned in the handout given to visitors when on the unit.
- Assist passengers in securing wheelchairs or other mobility devices.
- Load and unload luggage, packages and other patient belongings.
- Responsible for keeping the CADT vehicle clean and checking tire pressure, washing the vehicle when needed, and reporting any maintenance problems to the Facilities Management Department.
- Perform simple vehicle maintenance such as filling it with gasoline, checking tire pressure and washing the vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Must have a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass background studies conducted by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, and a driving background study.
- Must have current CPR and First Aid certification or obtain before direct patient contact
- Must be familiar with chemical dependency treatment, detoxification and general knowledge about addiction.
- Must have a working knowledge of the policies and procedures that govern the functions of the Center for Alcohol & Drug Treatment.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, honest, ethical, and have a helpful attitude.
- Must pay attention to detail and be sensitive to the needs of the passengers.

- Hourly Pay: $16-$20 per hour, DOE.
