About Our Client:

Addison Group is hiring for a Patient Collections Specialist on behalf of our client, a well-established third-party revenue cycle management group. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in the medical billing field with potential for growth within the organization.

Job Description:

The Patient Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing patient accounts, conducting soft collections, and assisting with payment processing. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a structured, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct soft collections on patient accounts with outstanding balances.
• Place outbound calls to patients to discuss balances and arrange payments.
• Process payments and establish payment plans.
• Manage up to 70 accounts per day.
• Work in a focused, detail-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in medical billing, front-end or back-end.
• Experience communicating with patients regarding balances and payment arrangements.
• Familiarity with insurance processes and ability to read Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
• Strong data entry skills, including ten-key proficiency.
• Experience with specialty medical groups (Cardiology, Orthopedics, Surgical, Oncology, etc.) is a plus.
