Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time School Social Worker to join our team and foster positive transformation in the lives of elementary school students.
Hours: 8 am-4 pm
Grade Levels: K-8 th grade
Location: Chicago, IL, 60624
Caseload: Typically around 30 students
In this position, you will:
- Play a crucial part in supporting kindergarten through 8th-grade students
- Work within one school, with another social worker within the building
- Participate in bimonthly department meetings

Responsibilities: - Provide targeted support to identified students in the elementary setting.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and success.
- Advocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic).
- Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs.
- Provide push-in and pull-out services as needed
- Facilitate IEP meetings
- Develop and track interventions to understand IEP effectiveness.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
- License eligible in the State of Washington
- Previous experience in a PreK-5 setting preferred
