MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE

Connect Staffing is looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join a leading distribution company in North Houston!

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (Occasional Weekends/OT) 

Order Picker Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of forklift experience.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• 2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
• Extensive experience with FedEx Ship Manager and UPS Worldship programs
• Proficient using Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to lift 50+lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours throughout shift.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as a forklift operator, shipping and receiving, and order selector is a plus!

Order Picker Responsibilities:

• Pick orders with carts and place in designated areas within the warehouse.
• Confirm items to be shipped for accuracy against order, tag with part number and description, and

  print required paperwork.

• Prepare shipments for FedEx, UPS, LTL and customer will call.

• Record picked items and update inventory systems to reflect changes in stock levels.
• Place ropes and harnesses into 50 gallon buckets to get weighed and enclosed.
• Safely operate forklift, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
• Select various orders and prep them for shipping.
• Maintain quality control on finished products.
• Keep the work area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
