POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Staff and Development Training Consultant, this position is responsible, for coordinating training for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Core Analyst Training (FCAT), the Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Training (FLEAT), the Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Academy (FLEAA), and the Advanced Analytical Training Seminar (AATS) throughout the State of Florida. In addition to coordinating training, the incumbent will assist with training preparation and act as a customer service representative by maintaining contact with state partners. Contributes to the accomplishment of FDLE missions and specific team goals; participates in team projects when requested; complies with administrative expectations; participates in initiatives as assigned.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:

  • Coordinating training curriculum for the Florida Law Enforcement Training Program throughout the State of Florida;
  • Acting as customer service liaison between state partners, including instructors and host sites, and the department to maintain professionalism and resolve concerns;
  • Preparing accurate and complete reports and documentation describing consultant and planning activities, recommendations, and procedural instructions;
  • Providing ongoing assistance to the Staff and Development Training Consultant, students, instructors, and agencies, by responding to inquiries, identifying deficiencies, providing training and performing research tasks in order to resolve issues;
  • Preparing staff work progress reports, projects, and related statistical data for utilization in evaluation of training needs; and
  • Maintaining communication with the counterparts to provide standardized training and problem resolution.

  • Ability to attend most training programs provided by the Florida Law Enforcement Training Program .

 

BASE SALARY:

  • $25.00/hour

OUR SALARY & OPS BENEFITS:

Starting hourly salary will be the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE’s pay policy. FDLE is a State of Florida Employer and offers a comprehensive OPS benefits package (ONLY available to OPS members who will be working 30 or more hours a week) , including:

BACKGROUND:

FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants. This information will be utilized to make the final hiring decision.

 

NOTES:

Preference will be given to current FDLE members who have satisfactorily completed at least six months of the probationary period for their current position.
