Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic virtual learning team. This remote opportunity allows you to create a lasting impact on students' educational journeys, all while working from the comfort of your own home.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will work to create personalized educational experiences for students with unique learning needs. Key Responsibilities:

Provide personalized, virtual instruction that supports the diverse learning needs of students
Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that comply with federal and state guidelines
Work closely with general education teachers to ensure the appropriate accommodations and modifications are in place
Keep accurate records of student progress and maintain detailed documentation
Lead virtual meetings with parents, staff, and other key stakeholders to track student growth
Offer guidance to parents/guardians on effective learning strategies for their children
Actively participate in professional development opportunities and team meetings to enhance teaching practices

Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
A valid teaching license with a Special Education endorsement
At least 2 years of teaching experience in a school environment
Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and educational technologies
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven experience in creating and managing IEPs
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues
