Job Description

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule – Full-Time, 8-hour shifts

Essential Duties:

  • Complete data entry, review and prepare various documents ensuring compliance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Perform and coordinate the photography and fingerprinting of all newly received offenders at the facility.
  • Establish and maintain records of offender photo identification.
  • Conduct fact finding interviews.
  • Prepares and disseminates information concerning facility programs and services.
  • Prepares and distributes offender identification paperwork to appropriate agencies, departments, and individuals.
  • Develop and maintain complex records; compile, summarize and tabulate data; perform data entry and related reports.
  • Maintain logs of work progress, document processing and other records.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent or GED.
  • Three (3) years full-time, wage-earning clerical, secretarial, administrative support, or technical program support experience.
  • Thirty (30) semester hours from a college or university accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE) may be substituted for each year of required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • One (1) year full-time, wage-earning computer operations experience.
  • A valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
  • Must successfully complete annual background checks and in-service training requirements, both of which must be approved by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).
