Overview:

This position will provide technical support for network management, maintenance, upgrades of the WLAN and the ancillary networks that support our mission to ensure 24x7 availability, building and configuring network infrastructure devices, hardware lifecycle replacement, property accountability, network service management (access controls, firewalls, Bluecoat, TACACs, 802.1x,BGP, OSPF etc.), vulnerability mitigation and documentation, network security investigations/forensics,

Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of Passive Optical Networks (PONS)
• Experience with 802.1x including Cisco ISE,
• Knowledge of Aruba Mobility Controllers, Aruba CPPM, and Aruba Airwave
• Enterprise Classified Voice Over Internet Protocol (ECVOIP) devices/accounts
• Knowledge of Terminal Access Controller Access Control System (TACACS)
• Knowledge of Aruba Distributed Services Switch (DSS)
• Knowledge of software-defined orchestration solution Aruba Fabric Composer(AFC)
• Excellent written and verbal business communication skills with ability to concisely communicate issues to management, users and peers with diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Large team experience with proven ability to follow direction and contribute ideas to achieve team goals and improve processes
• Ability to follow & enforce established processes and security guidelines and effectively communicate them to users
• Ensure exceptional customer service & support with prompt problem resolution, ticket management and follow-up with users
• Candidate must be reliable, on-time and able to complete tasks by target dates
• Maintain a professional work ethic & demeanor
• Excellent organization & time management skills
• Candidate must be self-motivated, driven to learn with a focus on continuous improvement
• Lift 50+ pounds of equipment

Responsibilities:

• Provide Network support to the user community.
• Administer and maintain the Tellabs GPON infrastructure. There are three Passive Optical Networks (PONS), one unclassified, one classified Secret, and one classified Top Secret. Administration of each of these networks will consist of PON Protection redundancy across physical Optical Line Terminals (OLTs) to include three (3) primary and three (3) secondary OLTs on the unclassified and classified Secret networks, and one (1) primary and one (1) secondary OLT on the classified Top Secret network. computer equipment rooms consist of 4-port, and 24-port copper connections. commercial television broadcasts across the PON infrastructure.
• Build and configure network infrastructure devices.
• Perform hardware lifecycle replacement.
• Maintain property accountability.
• Administer Aruba Distributed Services Switch
• Perform network service management.

Certs Required:

• Security+, CCNA (preferred)

• Top Secret
