About the Role:

As a Mold Maker , you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and fabricating molds to support new projects and ensure the efficient production of high-quality parts. Working alongside engineers and management, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in a cutting-edge environment with advanced tooling and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Mold Maintenance & Repair

• Perform all tasks required of a Mold Maintenance Tech III with proficiency.
• Analyze and repair simple to moderately complex molds in collaboration with the Tooling Engineer or Toolroom Manager.
• Disassemble and reassemble tooling to verify dimensions and functionality.
• Follow the “8-Stages of Systematic Mold Maintenance” process.
• Document mold maintenance activities accurately and track progress.

Mold Fabrication & Collaboration

• Plan and fabricate cavity-forming components for molds in partnership with engineers and management.
• Operate mold-making equipment effectively, with specialization in at least one area.
• Estimate, plan, and complete assigned projects on time while meeting customer requirements.

Workplace Organization & Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in adherence to 5S standards.
• Uphold accountability for assigned SPA (Single Point of Accountability) areas.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist with related duties as needed.

What You Bring:

Education & Experience:

• Technical school certification (2-year program) and/or 5+ years of relevant experience in mold making or related fields.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and apply advanced mathematical concepts, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and reasoning skills.
• Knowledge of injection molds, processing, and part/assembly drawings.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds.
• Good vision (close, color, peripheral, and depth), correctable to at least 20x40.
• Willingness to work extended hours and holidays as needed.
