Job Description

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement the IB-PYP Primary Years Curriculum, including middle school
• Teach middle school age children Spanish
• Design, plan & implement appropriate curriculum goals and long-term projects within the IB guidelines
• Lead collaboration with teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation and revisions of middle school language arts curriculum
• Set educational and developmental goals for the children, both as a group and individually
• Prepare the environment (indoor and outdoor) so as to support the educational objectives/goals
• Establishing and maintaining a personal connection through communications with each parent and child's family.
  

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a Masters degree in Education, Child Development, or related field (or foreign equivalency)
• 2 years experience as a primary and/or middle school Spanish teacher
• Proficiency in Spanish Language
• Able to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
• Requires DOJ Livescan clearance
  

Additional Information

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Prior to beginning work and as a condition of employment in order to comply with the law, all employees must provide documentation to prove eligibility to work in the United States. In addition, the final candidate will need to pass Criminal Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance, a physical exam, and provide a recent copy of a negative TB test/assessment and other immunization records.

Annual salary range is $86,000 - $90,000 dependent on
