About the Role

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll work both independently, and with an Aesthetic Nurse Injector to deliver high quality care to patients.  You’ll assist the nurse on delivering non-surgical aesthetic treatments, maintain a clean clinical environment, order inventory, respond to patient inquiries and perform other administrative tasks. 

What You'll Do:

• Maintain a clean and adequately stocked clinical environment
• Clean and prepare exam rooms based on scheduled procedures
• Room patients
• Collect vital signs, demographic information and patient medical history and document the same in Portrait’s Electronic Medical Record
• Obtain photo consent from patient and take pre- and post-procedure photos 
• Administrative tasks such as checking out patients, collecting payment, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments and replying to non-clinical patient questions
• Order inventory and ancillary supplies
• Maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance within the practice

About You:

• 2+ years of experience in medspa, cosmetic surgery, or dermatology practice
• Previous experience with EMR preferred
• Must be able to multitask and perform tasks accurately and consistently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA
• Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision
• Excellent and professional patient interaction skills
