The Opportunity:

Ocean Dermatology is a fast paced, growing private practice looking for an experienced medical assistant to join our team. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a family environment with a great work-life balance. You’re your typical day will include:

• Performing a variety of clinical tasks, including taking patient histories, documenting medical information, preparing and assisting with dermatological procedures, and providing wound care.
• Preparing examination rooms, sanitize medical instruments, and maintain a clean and organized clinical workspace
• Ensuring accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), following HIPAA guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Educating patients on treatment plans, skincare routines, and post-procedure care instructions.
• Collaborating closely with the healthcare team to optimize patient flow, enhance clinic efficiency, and support positive patient outcomes

Your skills and qualifications will include:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable
• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a dermatology clinic or similar setting
• Proficiency in electronic health records and other relevant medical software
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, effectively multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
