Job Overview 

GNTV is seeking a full-time Live Event Video Technical Director with extensive live event experience.  You will be part of a talented technical team who set up and operate small to large-scale audio, visual, and lighting systems for events across the country.

GNTV is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  We work with partner ministries, educational institutions, and civic organizations as a live and virtual event production company.  Our mission is: “To provide high quality, affordable production services that enable partners to focus on their work, not their technology.”

Overall Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality customer service for all partners, associates, vendors, and attendees.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and remain calm under pressure. 
  • Work with a team to plan, prepare, and execute events - ensuring complete partner satisfaction.
  • Set up and operate video systems for meetings, banquets, conferences, concerts, and other events.
  • Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues
  • Prepare, sort, and inspect equipment to ensure all gear is fully operational and ready for proper and reliable use.
  • Basic maintenance and repair skills are expected. 
  • Travel regularly throughout the year
  • Perform other job duties as requested by supervisors

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with video systems and techniques
  • Proficient with Mac and PC 
  • Ability to reach, grasp, turn, manipulate, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Strong communication skills to interface with partners, their associates, staff, and vendors for planning and execution of conferences, events, and projects.
  • High school diploma is required.  Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience is preferred.  Experience in more than one venue is preferred.  
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for operation of company vehicles.
  • Candidates must consent to a criminal background check before final consideration.
  • Candidates must be vaccinated for COVID (unless a written medical exception).  

Details

  • Offices are located in Macon, GA (one hour south of Atlanta Airport)
  • Work schedule is a mix of office hours and event support (includes regular travel, nights and weekends).
  • Organizational structure is based on a team approach.  Full Time staff are deployed to event/project sites while leading associates, part time staff, freelancers, and partners.  
  • Pay is commensurate with experience; the entry level salary range is $40,000 to $55,000 per year.
