Job Description
Compass Mechanical Repair is a family owned automotive and diesel shop in Ponderay, Idaho currently looking for a skilled full time light duty diesel technician / mechanic.
We offer competitive wages ($30-$40 hourly DOE), monthly bonus, Simple IRA, boot allowance, paid vacation, cell phone reimbursement as well as paid health, vision and dental insurance. 40 Hours per week with four 10-hour day schedule – a three day weekend every weekend!
The ideal candidate:
Proven work experience in light diesel repair and possess a high level skill set to diagnose and repair all aspects of light duty diesel trucks (Cummins, Duramax, Powerstroke) including trouble shooting complex diagnostic problems related to engines, turbos, transmissions, DEF systems, AC systems, brakes, drivelines, and electrical systems.
Must have experience and be proficient in turbo and engine repair (head gaskets, removal and install of long block and running complete engines) as well as DEF system, suspension, transmission, brake and clutch repair specific to light-duty diesel trucks such as Fords, GMs, and Dodges.
A high level of personal integrity is required as well as basic tools.
Applicant are required to have a clean driving record and valid driver's license.
