Job Posting: Junior Structural Engineer

We are seeking an Entry-Level/Junior Structural Engineer to join our team in Columbia, SC. This is a contract-to-direct hire opportunity, offering a competitive salary and excellent growth potential within a dynamic and supportive environment. About the Role:

• Structural Design & Analysis: You will perform structural analysis and design for a wide range of building structures, including new construction and existing buildings.
• Construction Documentation: You will prepare complete and accurate engineered construction drawings and specifications.
• Project Coordination: You will collaborate with other disciplines, review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and assist with construction administration.
• Code Analysis: You will conduct code analysis and offer guidance to both internal and external clients.

Who You Are:

• Educated Professional: You hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering.
• Technically Proficient: You are proficient in Revit and are eager to learn and master the RISA suite of structural analysis software.
• A Strong Communicator: You possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• A Team Player: You are a team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a larger team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering (or actively pursuing).
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
• Experience in structural engineering design for an A/E firm.
• Solid knowledge of current building and material codes.
• Familiarity with the design of building structures in high seismic and wind areas.
• Proficient in the design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Experience with the design of cold-formed metal framing.

Benefits:

• Competitive Salary: Direct salary range of $65,000 - $90,000+ upon conversion to permanent status, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
