Finance Analyst Intern to join our Business Units Finance team at our General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL.

Responsibilities - Consolidate and review budgets, financial forecasts, strategic plans, statistical reports, cash flow projections and business forecasts from multiple reporting locations.
- Coordinate frequently with all levels of management from reporting locations to gather and analyze needed financial data.
- Assist organization's senior management in the development of the corporate budget, strategic plan, and other corporate financial requirements.
- Comply with all Government, corporate and business unit policies, procedures and regulations
- Follow requisite procedures in completing tasks assigned related to Finance activities
- Researches interpretation of financial policies, corporate policies, governmental regulations, finance/accounting theory, or customer financial regulations
- Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance
- Perform data analytics to aid in the improvement of processes and/or development of corrective actions
- Research Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications - Must be currently enrolled or accepted into a 2-4 year accredited college or university or have graduated in the last 6 months
- Completed at a minimum their sophomore year in college majoring in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well with a diverse employee population are essential
- Must demonstrate organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, using discretion and independent judgement
- Responds promptly to customer needs
- Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles with a sense of urgency
