Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join a dynamic team and support the development and implementation of training programs that enhance employee learning and performance, with a special focus on the Workday Time Tracking integration project. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to the success of a company's technology implementation.
In this role, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams to understand learning needs, design effective training strategies, and evaluate the success of training programs. The ideal candidate will help ensure that employees are well-prepared to adopt and efficiently use the Workday Time Tracking system as it integrates with other business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Audience Analysis & Change Impact Assessments: Work with stakeholders to assess the needs of different audience groups and evaluate the impact of upcoming changes. Use this information to create customized learning strategies that support the smooth integration of the Workday Time Tracking module.
Learning Strategy & Plans: Develop tailored learning strategies for various user groups, addressing gaps in knowledge and skills. Ensure that the training materials and delivery methods align with the integration of Workday Time Tracking, enabling employees to use the system confidently.
Training Evaluation & Effectiveness: Design and implement assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs. Gather feedback and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement, ensuring ongoing enhancements to training delivery.
Job Aids & Performance Support: Create practical job aids, quick-reference guides, and performance support resources that employees can use to integrate new processes and systems into their everyday work, specifically in relation to Workday Time Tracking.
Change Readiness & Training Updates: Conduct regular change readiness assessments and pulse checks to gauge the success of the training efforts. Update training materials and plans based on insights and feedback, ensuring alignment with the evolving needs of the project.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design, with a focus on change management and transformation initiatives at the enterprise level.
Workday Integration Experience (Preferred): Experience working with Workday integrations, especially with the Time Tracking module. Familiarity with Workday system configurations and integrations is a strong plus.
Relationship Management: Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams across various business functions, including IT, HR, Finance, Legal, and Operations, to drive training efforts forward.
Instructional Design & Development: A strong background in instructional design and development, with experience creating engaging learning solutions tailored to large-scale projects.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly and adjust messaging for different audiences.
Training & Scope Management: Demonstrated experience managing the scope of learning initiatives, ensuring they align with business objectives and are delivered on time.
Consulting Experience (Preferred): Previous experience in a consulting role, particularly in delivering customized training solutions for large, high-impact projects.
Microlearning & Infographic Creation: Experience developing microlearning videos and infographics that present key information in a concise, engaging, and easily digestible format for learners.
Business Process & Technology Integration: Ability to bridge the gap between business processes and technology, helping end-users understand how HR systems like Workday deliver value to the organization.
