Responsibilities

• Engage in complex diagnostic maintenance tasks to maintain equipment functionality, including examining defects, adjusting components for efficiency, and performing tests on electrical circuits and mechanical systems.
• Proactively source necessary parts and supplies, ensuring the seamless repair of equipment.
• Operate a range of machinery such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders, and perform essential welding tasks when required.
• Maintain compliance with 5S standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that drive process enhancements and cost reductions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues, tackling both software and hardware challenges.
• Gather and analyze equipment performance data utilizing predictive maintenance technologies.
• Offer mentorship and guidance to junior technicians and lead small teams, enhancing their technical capabilities.
• Pursue personal development through technical training programs.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and actively identify and correct unsafe practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; an Associate's degree is preferred, coupled with three years of industry-related experience, or five years of hands-on experience in maintenance roles.
• A solid understanding and analytical ability in electrical, mechanical, and fluid control systems is essential.
• Capable of handling basic and complex hand and specialized tools effectively.

Work Environment

This role involves frequent movement, including standing, walking, climbing, and operating in confined spaces. An aptitude for carrying over 50 pounds and keen color vision is required. The work environment is bustling and can expose employees to loud noise, weather elements, and risks of electrical shock.
