Job Responsibilities:
As a private caregiver your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Personal Care: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing grooming dressing and mobility support. Ensuring the comfort and dignity of our seniors is paramount.
Medication Management: Help seniors manage their medications adhering to prescribed schedules and ensuring they understand their medication regimens.
Meal Preparation: Plan prepare and serve nutritious meals accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences to promote healthy eating habits.
Companionship: Engage our seniors in meaningful conversations and activities fostering emotional wellbeing and combating feelings of loneliness. A friendly ear and a kind word can make all the difference!
Household Management: Assist with light housekeeping tasks laundry and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
Transportation Assistance: Support seniors with transportation to medical appointments social events and outings ensuring they remain connected to their community.
Monitoring Health: Observe and report any changes in the seniors physical or emotional health to family members or healthcare professionals. You will be their advocate and a key point of contact for their wellbeing.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience as a caregiver or in a similar role ideally working with seniors.
Knowledge of basic medical and emergency procedures is a plus.
Compassion patience and a positive attitude are essential qualities.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written to engage effectively with seniors and their families.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or transferring patients safely.
Certifications in CPR first aid or a relevant caregiving course would be advantageous.
