Robert Half is partnering with a respected and compassionate funeral home seeking a dedicated Bilingual Spanish HR Generalist to support their human resources functions. This temp-to-hire role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a mission-driven environment while growing your HR career. The ideal candidate will have a strong generalist background, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with sensitivity and discretion in a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Administer employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes
+ Support payroll preparation and timekeeping processes in coordination with finance
+ Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS updates
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
+ Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and communications
+ Partner with management on employee relations, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
+ Coordinate training and development programs
+ Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, screenings, and interviews
+ Participate in safety and compliance initiatives, including OSHA-related documentation
+ Foster a respectful and supportive workplace culture in line with the funeral home's values
Requirements
Requirements:
+ 2+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role
+ Strong understanding of labor laws, HR best practices, and confidentiality standards
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills
+ Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
+ Compassionate demeanor and ability to work in an emotionally sensitive environment
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
+ SHRM or PHR certification a plus
+ Bilingual Spanish Needed
