DESCRIPTION: Oversee the evaluation and monitoring of federally funded properties to assure compliance with the federal housing program regulations and management standards. Provide technical support to property owners and management agents, conduct audits of tenant eligibility, and monitor the physical status of projects to confirm compliance with program guidelines. Address tenant inquiries and concerns, offering assistance to resolve issues as needed.
DUTIES: Conduct federal compliance and physical reviews, as well as program reporting. Develop an overall knowledge of federal regulations, policies, and procedures related to federal programs. Stay up to date with any updates or changes in the federal program requirements. Perform onsite reviews and audits of program documentation on-site throughout South Dakota and in the Pierre office.
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills, along with a proactive approach to building relationships. A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience in federal housing programs and/or multifamily property management is preferred. The candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, the candidate should be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Must have a valid South Dakota driver's license and have ability to travel extensively. Access to company vehicle available.
LOCATION: Pierre, SD (frequent statewide travel required)
STARTING WAGE: $27.59 - $31.04 per hour.
BENEFITS: SD Housing pays 100 percent of employees health, dental and vision insurance plus a percentage of family coverage. Option for employer contributed Health Savings Account. Additionally, paid family leave, eleven paid holidays, time of service bonuses and accrual of 15 vacation and 14 sick days annually. Participation in state retirement plan with SD Housing matching 6% and option to contribute to supplemental retirement.
