Job Description

This role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heavy trucks and equipment to ensure they operate at peak performance. If you have a strong mechanical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, we encourage you to apply.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy trucks and equipment, including engines, transmissions, steering systems, brakes, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all shop and field equipment.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the scope of work assigned.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of heavy equipment capabilities and operating procedures.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and diagnostic testing to determine condition and necessary repairs.
  • Maintain vehicle appearance and repair damaged parts.
  • Accurately document and maintain vehicle and equipment records.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Enforce adherence to all health and safety standards.
  • Exhibit a vested interest in the company's success by demonstrating initiative and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Be punctual and proactive, consistently seeking opportunities to assist.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic. (Required)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. (CDL Preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, standing, and walking for extended periods. (Required)
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance and safety standards is a plus.
  • DOT Medical Card. (Preferred)

Schedule:

  • 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
  • Weekend shifts as needed.

Experience:

  • Heavy Equipment Mechanic: Minimum 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). (Required)
  • DOT Medical Card. (Preferred)

Salary info:

$28 - $40 / hr
