Family Medicine (FP) or Internal Medicine Physician (IM)

A Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician is needed in Ocala, Florida.
Ocala offers the perfect balance of a vibrant community with access to outdoor recreation, healthcare innovation, and family-friendly living. This opportunity is with a mission-driven healthcare organization providing proactive, preventive primary care services to geriatric patients in assisted living facilities (ALFs), skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and private residences throughout Central and North Central Florida.

Salary and Benefits

  • $180,000 – $230,000 base salary annually depending on experience
  • Lucrative bonus structure: Approximately $7,000 extra for adding just one additional patient per day
  • High earners make $250,000 to $270,000 annually; top performers have earned about $300,000
  • Relocation assistance – up to $3,000
  • Health insurance (cost shared by employer and employee)

  • Malpractice insurance provided
  • PTO – 12 days per year
  • Paid holidays – 6 per year
  • Retirement – SIMPLE IRA with employer contribution
  • CME allowance – $1,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and collaborative support to Advanced Practice Providers
  • Conduct weekly on-site primary care visits in various care settings (ALFs, SNFs, private homes)
  • Review and sign off on Home Health and Hospice Care Plans
  • Participate in Medicare’s Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
  • Attend weekly virtual provider meetings via Teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and billing in eClinical Works (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and internal practice policies
  • Meet production goals of:
    • 18 visits per day in ALFs
    • 20 visits per day in SNFs
    • 9 visits per day for home visits

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain one
  • Geriatric, home health, or SNF experience preferred
  • Proficiency with eClinical Works (ECW) preferred
  • Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
