Meridian is currently seeking a Dental Assistant Externfor Meridian Health Family Dentistry located in Muncie, Indiana.

This externship will provide the candidate with the following learning opportunities:

• Answering phone calls
• Greeting clients
• Updating patient information

Clinical duties include:

• Taking blood pressure
• Placing composite restorations
• Placing topical anesthetics
• Assist providers in routine and complex dental procedures
• Assisting pre-procedural rinse
• Train to cover other DA's and their duties
• Dispose of contaminated supplies and materials
• Phoning in of patient medications to pharmacy as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and use good judgment within the limits of the ADA guidelines and follow department policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled in an Accredited Dental Assisting Program requiring an externship

Drug screen, TB test, extensive background check, and fingerprinting are required of all Meridian employees.
