Job Title: Senior Epic Beaker CP Analyst
Location: Remote with periodic onsite travel to Houston, TX
Employment Type: 1 year contract – high likelihood of extension
We are actively seeking a Senior Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP) Analyst to lead the implementation of Epic Beaker CP across a 9-hospital health system. This role requires deep functional and technical expertise in Epic Beaker CP, including a proven track record of successfully delivering 3 or more Epic Beaker implementations. You’ll work closely with lab operations, clinical stakeholders, and IT to configure and deploy laboratory workflows that support high-quality, efficient patient care.
Lead the full lifecycle implementation of Epic Beaker CP, including planning, design, build, testing, training, and go-live support.
Serve as the subject matter expert and primary analyst for Epic Beaker CP configuration across multiple hospital laboratories.
Collaborate with clinical lab leadership and pathologists to gather requirements and optimize lab workflows for chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and other disciplines.
Ensure seamless integration with ancillary systems, including Beaker AP, EpicCare Inpatient/Outpatient, Bridges, and various lab instruments and middleware.
Conduct system testing, validation, and quality assurance in coordination with lab and IT teams.
Support the build of lab orders, results routing, rules, test compendiums, specimen workflows, and instrument interfaces.
Provide training, go-live support, and knowledge transfer to internal analysts and lab staff.
Actively participate in governance meetings, status updates, and project decision-making.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to long-term support strategies post go-live.
Epic Beaker CP certification required and current.
Minimum of 3 full Epic Beaker CP implementations, including complex or multi-entity environments.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Epic Beaker CP configuration and workflow optimization.
Strong knowledge of clinical lab operations, lab instrumentation, and LIS integrations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Willingness to travel onsite as needed (approx. 10–20%) for project milestones and stakeholder engagement.
